i've never heard that song by shel silverstein-i'm going to share it with the terrific dads i know for fathers' day! thanks for the link and have fun this weekend!
Loved it! What a voice Shel Silverstein has. Up and down. Loud and soft. Gonna have to go find some more audios of Shel Silverstein. Thanks for the introduction!
p.s. I love Johnny Cash, but for some reason it was difficult for me to follow the song. The Silverstein version nailed it for me.
"Boy named Sue" is a great tune. Love Willie, Dolly, and Billie for their unique and crazy voices. Also their stories and styles.
My music (like what I feel I could die to or with) is Jazz, 'tis in my bones and blood, but country, bluegrass, and mountain music also can make my organs shake...rattle, and roll.
