Shod
Second shoe done. Now onto those wet-felted booties.
The shoe on the left is the second shoe. If you look, you can see the edits that I made to the strap layout. I oriented them more forward for a better fit around my ankle. They're very comfortable — I've even slept in them. I guess that could be considered creepy, right?
Thanks for following along with Creepy Craft month. I know that I lost quite a few email subscribers — luckily Google readers more than made up for the loss. I continue to be fascinated by the psychology of the interwebs. Thanks for participating. :)

You lost subscribers because of the creepy crafts? I find THAT creepy. Gnar.
Cool Michelle, I'm glad you finished your viking shoes. I might have to give that a try. I agree with Blaize, very creepy. I look forward to all your posts!
I think people are moving off bloglines. I've been dropping people like flys but my google reader is growing. ANd people are really into facebook right now. I went for a few days but I'm too busy to get into the chatting and gift giving and tagging. Loved the creepy stuff and the shoes are amazing. You made shoes. Wow.
your shoes are AMAZING. and that is really weird about creepy craft month- i think it was such a fun idea!
Love your work...love your tone...love your blog. The beet tails are fantastic!
The link to the wet felted booties take you back to the instructions for the shoes... am I missing something?
Lame about losing readers.
That was a creepy craft month thing? I thought you were just inspired by Tim Burton.
Those shoes look totally professional. I can't believe you are a Jack of all trades. Now you just have to learn electrical and plumbing and you can move OTG.
I love the shoes! Creepy yet oddly cute stuff is fun!
P.S. I've nominated you for a Kreativ Blogger award! You can check my blog for details.
Those are amazing. Let me know if you need help with the felted inner boot part. Very, very cool.
Bravo, well done!
But - losing subscribers because of that?!?! It's some very edited lives we get to see through blogs. Not much sex and blood out there, that's for sure. I remember whipup.net posted a knitted penis once. You know, as a funny thing. They had a STORM of angry emails and comments, along the lines of 'this should be a child friendly site', 'I watch this site with my kids' etc. So, the kid's never seen a penis? Got frightened? I tell you, there's a 50% chance the kid's got one himself! :D
Those shoes are totally great. I have come back to your first post about them a bunch of times, always thinking about how much i want my very own viking shoes.
I wonder what made people leave? Were they offended or scared? Your creepy crafts were fun!
