This is a post about coincidence.
One of the problems with keeping up with hundreds of blogs is that I mostly forget who posts what. A few days ago, someone (wish I could link to you) Nadia's Crafting Adventures posted this video, which I promptly posted to my facebook for easy access:
The mystery poster also linked to the same artist doing this old fav:
God, I love her singing and playing and sense of humor. The videos make me feel inadequate in voice and ukulele, but a girl needs inspiration and goals, right? Something beyond the world of craft and dirty diapers.
Then, today, Amy posted the link to this video:
I watched it about twenty times, posted it to fb for safe keeping, then printed out the chords and played my ukulele while at stop lights on the way to pick up my son from school. This song made me so happy today.
Back at home I pulled out the dusty, old guitars (so much more sound after playing the little uke!). I needed to watch the video again, 'cause he's so damn good and I wish I could play guitar like that. Then, I noticed someone familiar in his other videos. They're friends!
Next lifetime I'm coming coming back as a musician.
And, just in case you were wondering. It is all about the poop.

hi you-
it's 1:30 in the morning. just home from work all night (after being MOM all day...)
red wine and some dinner. the last video.
feel like i could go for days.
i get the musician in the next life. meanwhile, i'll enjoy them. thanks so much for the inspiration.
I watched all these videos last night after Amy posted them. Coincidence, indeed, to see them again this morning. :)
Wow! What talent!
First, the poop link goes to a "page does not exist." Is that deliberate.
Second, I'm practicing that Cure song on my violin, just so you know.
Loobylu posted that first one. I loved it, and favorited it on youtube.
I want to learn the uke.
Freaking cool. Now, the last hour has gone to youtube watchin. It's alright.
Have you seen the dancing guy?

I'm watching him too.
that was awesome, thanks for sharing!
Just bought the CD - thanks so much for sharing the genius. And hey, you can play a ukulele. I have lately felt a pang that I, nor anyone in my immediate family is not more musical. Is it innate or fostered and I'm just not fostering it? Ah well. The next life. This one, we'll be artists. And diaper changers. Though from now on, I'm sticking with dogs - their adolescence is comparatively short and infinitely more manageable.
Thanks for posting those videos. I enjoyed them very much.
those are fantastic--thanks for sharing :)
Best,
Amanda @ www.kiddio.org & www.housemade.org
god i needed this michelle...what an uplift...i could cry, and hey, i think i've got one major crush on that gal. when can we hear your version of the cure? xx
thank you. all kinds of wonderful.
Ukuleles are addictive -- watch out! I just blogged about the one I bought. They are too frickin' cute to resist long...
