Proud Mama
Sometimes I need to jot these things down here, because I'm not so good at getting them onto paper.
My oldest
Said:
"Those clouds look really low, like I could jump into them. They look like cotton candy. When I have a hang glider I'm going to fly into the clouds and see how they taste — and, I *will* have one."
"Do you know why I come and get into bed with you in the morning? Because I want to see my brother when he wakes up."
Wrote:
His name on a chalkboard, when asked to by a prospective kindergarten teacher, while being assessed. My first child's first test — I was a bit of a nervous wreck.
Drew:
A gnome — his fourth representational drawing of a creature. This has been a long, challenging process for him because he wants things to be perfect. The lesson we worked on was, that — if you don't like it — you can try again. We went through many sheets of newspaper. We also made a compromise, where I did the cutting and he did the drawing.
By my littlest
Said:
"Fabric" and "Gnome." They are two of his first twenty or so words. That makes me smile. So does seeing him wake up.

Too much cute. My gal says "knitting" but it sounds like "ninnin" or something. Good idea to write it down. You think you'll remember, but then you don't. I know.
You are a wonderful Mama writing down such precious memories. The days go by so fast and many, many times I have to stop myself and just be still so I can watch and enjoy. I often pinch myself thinking - "I have *three* kids!". How lucky am I?!
Oh, you are such a good and patient mama teaching him you can try again. :) I can be just like him, so I sympathize with you. I know I'm not easy to deal with when I'm frustrated.
These are wonderful memories to document. :) What wonderful children you have.
proud mama you should be. those are great stories of your boys :)
so much warm goodness in this post. :^)
don't forget to e-mail me with the school update!
What I liked today, because I am egotistical, was how the little one squealed while poking me after I said, "Where's Blaize?" That and that he wanted me to take him to visit the meow meow at work. And how the big one helped me sort boxes and put stuff away.
Is "tractor" and "shirt" in the first 20?
So cute! I wish I had written down all the cute little things my three children have said over the years. Only the three year old still quite often comes up with the odd moment. For example on Thanksgiving Day He said, "We are going to Grandma's for pizza." (Two weeks before that is what we did on his brother's birthday.)
Two beautiful photos!
Gosh I love your blog.
Aaahhh - them gnomes are in their blood!!
My Mr C is the same as Mandy's "ninnin." And the writing down - they crack up when you recount it when they're older. Also, you can remember how cute they were when they are aggravating teenagers.
I love this entry. Your little guys are awesome.
