Post something interesting already
You know your blog is sucking when your comments are down — and, when you mention this to your husband, he let's you know that your blog hasn't been all that interesting lately.* Nothing like a little tough-love to kick your butt into finishing a long-time WIP.
So, without further ado, let me introduce to you:
The Original Butt-Kicker Crochet Bodice Dress
This dress fought me the whole way. If it wasn't for blog suckage it probably would never have been finished. I won't bore you with the gory details — I tried writing them, and I almost fell asleep.
Props to Linda for the original inspiration, and to my sister for taking such lovely photos of her lovely self. More photos over here.

damn, you are a talented girl!
Great dress. You should make a pattern for sale... I'd buy one.
lovely!
and yes, this did prompt me to de-lurk and leave a comment finally!
not that your post have no been interesting... i think everyone is just busy with the holidays!
but still, i love the dress. and keep up the nice bloggy work!
It's truly beautiful. And I know what you mean about blog suckage. I've been putting out quantity rather than quality. Maybe that will change.
My sister always says she wants to come back as the youngest. I think she needs to be more specific. Clearly the way to go is GK's younger (i think) sister. You treat her so well!!!!
wow! beautiful! :^D
This really IS lovely! The dress is beautiful, and the entire outfit looks so pretty and well put together. Super stylin'! Great work.
And your blog has never sucked, btw! :)I fear mine has entered the suck zone all the time, but what can ya do....
Man. That dress is soooo cool. Wish I had the bod to wear it! Oh well. And, you blog doesn't suck. Who are you writing for anyway? Write for yourself and enjoy it.
ooh, I love it! i want to make another one now.
it's beautiful! I have many unfinished projects that I think have grown little eyes and follow me around the room. saying, "finishhh meeee." this is a kick in the pants I need. The scarf and the hair clip make the dress look even more stunning!
yeah, i would say your blog doesn't suck!
the dress is really cute.
Hi Michelle!
The dress is really pretty. Did you design it yourself? Love the colors and the entire ensemble.
No suckage here. Your blog rocks.
That's so funny because my husband and I recently had almost the exact same conversation.
Your blog definitely does not suck, though.
What a great outfit. I want to look hip and cool like that and not dowdy and mom-ish like, um, currently.
Beautiful!!
You could never blog-suck.
Where's your husband's blog? How does he keep his interesting??
Well, I hadn't noticed a lack of interestingness.
Love that dress, such a cool idea and beautifully made - I'm jealous.
Love it! I havent been posting a lot lately-- but I have been in my heart (just no time, man). I just need a little energy boost, you know what I mean?
Alright, alright. I'll comment already. Geez.
I love the texture of the silk scarf with the crochet dress top in that first photo. You are very talented.
That is really, REALLY cute, and very hip! Sis wears it well.
I love your blog!
And it looks like the comments are up! Love the blue and the brown and the bobble (?) detailing on the straps. Congrats on your shop - yay!
The dress is lovely.
(And as a side note I think everyone is commenting less all around lately. I think that NaBloPoMo thing wears people out a bit.)
I love love love the bodice. It looks so great. I can't wait until I have some time to tackle a crochet-wear project. I hope mine come out as nice as yours. :)
sigh...if only...
...if only i could crochet like that...sew like that...wear it as good as that.
it's beautiful Michelle!! and no, your blog could never suck.
Awesome dress! And for what it's worth, I've been enjoying your blog lately! I really feel like mine took a nosedive for NaBloPoMo though... glad to be done with that !
I really like the dress - great work! :)

Pretty dress!! And I like lots of the other stuff you make, too :) Very colorful and creative!
It is so beutiful and smart. And on your sister it looks perfect.
I love your blog and I love this dress. I know it gave you fits, but there are some of us out here who are willing to be "fitted" in order to have our own wonderful dress to love. Please share so we can suffer too and so I will have a cool back to school dress! Thank you!
