Flashback Friday — Big Hair Days
My sister uploaded this gem, as well as a couple other wacky photos from back in our swing days. Actually, this was just prior to the move to the Red House with the Green Kitchen where we learned to dance. Once we started dancing I think the hair got much smaller. What were we thinking? Wacky stuff, I tell ya.

So amazing! Your mom has killer hair skillz. :) You guys look phenomenal!
I posted that one for you, Alice. I wonder if we passed in the night somewhere up in S.F. way back when.
How could you even do that hair? I had big hair, but mostly that big scary perm hair. And sadly, worn as actual hair, not 'special hair'.
Wow that is incredible! Hard to imagine from someone who has such short hair!
PKM: Our mom has special hairdo powers. She's always our stylist.
Gudrun: My hair is short now, too. Also, difficult for me to imagine.
You guys are so cute!
wow, how did you even get it to stay like that! it's the 8th wonder of the world!
From personal experience under the hairdo ministrations of Green Kitchen's mom, I can report that the hair stays up via vigorous ratting and lots of hairspray. Oh, wait, I almost forgot the anti-gravitational devices.
The one time I had big hair created by GK's mom, I wrapped it in toilet paper that night while I slept (the time-honored method of up-do preservation) and went around the next day like everything was normal. The hair practically stopped traffic. Fun!
That is spectacular hair. Amy Wineshouse - watch out for those sisters.
OK, it's offical. You guys rock. And I wish I could peek at all the products you had back then... aquanet? Too awesome.
Superb.
I'm speechless.
